Kirkford House

Kirkford House is a four-bedroom new build in a contemporary barn style, set in Sussex. The design started life within a flexible house typology I'd developed, which I adapted specifically for this site.

Reworking the plan, proportions and material palette to suit the plot and how the family living there wanted to use the spaces.

The result leans on a simple material palette: dark timber cladding and full-height glazing that opens the living spaces to the garden while keeping a quiet, barn-like presence from the road.
