Jade Way

Jade Way is a two-phase project, modifying a new build home. The first phase opened up the original layout into a single open-plan living space. This second phase, currently under construction, extends further into the garden, this time creating more dedicated areas rather than one continuous open space.

The design uses a level change to work with the natural drop in the garden toward the patio, making the space more efficient while adding character to the extension. Bespoke furniture, seating and cabinetry are being built in as part of the scheme, along with space for an Argentine parrilla, a detail that's becoming something of a signature across my projects.

The project runs on a tight budget, and the corrugated cladding is a direct response to that: a bold pop of colour against the existing brick, at a fraction of the cost of more traditional finishes. Good design isn't always about spending more, it's about knowing where a confident choice can do the work instead.
